Hatch Cover Tape is a durable sealing tape designed to waterproof cargo vessel hatch covers and prevent water from entering the cargo hold. It helps protect moisture-sensitive cargo and maintain the vessel’s watertight integrity.
Blueliner Tape is made from a self-adhesive SBS bitumen rubber compound with a durable blue PE top layer. It offers strong adhesion, flexibility, and excellent weather resistance, making it suitable for demanding marine conditions.
How to use:
- Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, rust, oil, and moisture. A clean surface is essential for optimal adhesion.
- Apply the tape when the surface temperature is between 5 °C – 40 °C. Once applied, it can withstand -15 °C to 70 °C.
- Unroll the 20m tape and press firmly along the edges of the Hatch Covers where needed. Make sure there are no air bubbles or gaps.
- Use a roller or apply hand pressure to ensure full contact between the tape and the surface. This creates a watertight, weather-resistant seal.
